Wall design red

Designing a child's room in red

Red is probably one of the most intense colours we know. With red, you show your colours in the truest sense of the word.

Fire red and glowing red show where the colour journey is heading. In everyday language it stands for great heat, but it is also the epitome of life. Think of the term blood red.

But we also associate red with strong emotions. And it stands for extreme taste. Strawberries and chilli peppers represent the two boundaries here.

Our lips are red at their best. It is a tone of great emotions.

In our use of language, therefore, the complexity of this colour is already apparent, as the above examples show. In living rooms and especially in children's rooms, you can set accents with this colour tone. As an admixture, this colour is quite suitable.

However, large areas are not so pleasant. Not only because of the intensity, but also because of their effect in different lighting conditions.

Red quickly turns black in twilight and darkness. The resulting surface thus appears extremely threatening and overpowering.

But as an accent, it signals joie de vivre and activity. In combination with other tones, it thus contributes to a harmonious overall appearance.

The colour red is certainly less recommendable as the sole colour in a child's room. It is too intense and dominant for that. But as an admixture within the existing colour scheme of the room and in wall design, it is quite wonderful.

This admixture can be done in many ways. Either the wallpaper or border used already contains a mix of colours that uses red as an accessory. Or you take a wall design product in red and combine it with other colours.

For example, an intensely red wallpaper animal can look very attractive in a corresponding environment. Or a small wall area - such as a niche or corner - is designed with red.

This gives you the opportunity to set interesting accents within a harmonious colour structure using this intense colour.
