Sandbox Toys for Kids

Sandbox toys are among the most popular toys. In addition, it is THE classic. It enhances any sandbox, can basically be used anywhere else outside and is of course also great for the beach.

Basically, there are two types of toys that are suitable for the sandbox:
toys that you can use in the sand and things that you can play with the sand.

Toys in the sand
These can be classic toys that are suitable for outdoors due to their choice of materials and construction. It is then weatherproof, immune to external influences and very robustly designed or constructed. This includes, for example, all kinds of (construction) vehicles, excavators, trucks and much more. In most cases, plastic is used. But painted metal is also used. Sand, water and weather are no longer a problem. For example, there are also playgrounds that are designed to withstand wind and weather.

Playing with sand
Shapes, shovels, buckets, sieves and much more are familiar to all of us when it comes to the sandbox. Building, shaping, constructing, baking - these are the games that take us all back to our childhood and have lost none of their charm - despite modern and digital alternatives. The sand is then a tool to playfully implement the adult world.

Playing in the sand and social behaviour
On the one hand, the social component is in the foreground. Because playing in the sand is not done alone in most cases. Many construction projects require teamwork. The most adventurous constructions can be better realised by two or even more people. And nothing bonds more quickly and easily than playing in the sand or on the beach.
An important factor here is sharing and passing on the sandpit tools. Digging holes, digging tunnels, piling up mountains, constructing marble runs, building castles ... These projects connect and require a high level of interaction.

Sandbox toys and physics
Where better to learn and understand physics than in the sand? How do different materials behave with each other? (Water and sand). Statics, weight, flow speeds, resistance and much more are physical laws that can be experienced wonderfully in the sand and/or on the beach.
In addition, there is the feel of the material. The fineness of the grains, the different temperatures and the feel in the hand. These are all original and natural experiences that make playing in and with sand so valuable.
