Nests for baby beds

Nests are the epitome of security and protection. They are a cosy boundary and of course also padding for the cot so that your baby can't bump into the edges of the bed. Together with the baby bedding the nests form a pretty and cosy unit.

Nest for your baby bed

The nest for  baby beds is one of the most important and popular textiles when it comes to furnishing and designing the nursery. It takes over many functions and is an important feel-good factor for you and your baby.

Nests are textile cushions that are attached to the sides of baby beds from the inside. In the case of standard nests, this is done over three sides of the cot. While the head side and the two sides of the cot are covered, the foot end remains free for purely visual reasons. That is why all the nests that we offer here are in three parts.

The attachment to the baby cot is done with ties or Velcro. In both cases, they are already attached to the cot nest or included in the delivery. Ribbons have the advantage that they can be tied into pretty bows. This looks more lovely and enhances the whole baby furniture.

Atmosphere in the baby room

With the bed nest you first create atmosphere in your (new) baby room. The nest is a design element and has a soft effect. In most cases, a cot without a nest looks a bit bare and bare. With the nest and you clothe the baby furniture and dress it up, so to speak. The cot nest caresses the cot and, together with the other textiles, acts as a beautiful and harmonious retreat.

Also when you look into the cot, a protected space reveals itself to you. The place seems shielded and secluded. A place of refuge in the best sense. A place of peace and harmony. The nest embodies all this - not only visually.

Protection for your baby

But the nest also offers protection in the real sense. When your baby moves or struggles during sleep, the bed nest cushions the corners and edges of the baby's cot. Your darling can thus neither hurt his head nor his arms or legs.

Almost all nests for babies are suitable for the baby bed sizes 60 x 120 cm and 70 x 140 cm. Mostly the seams in the corners are flexible or there are "surcharges" sewn in, which adjust according to the size of the cot.

The textile is fastened by means of ribbons, which you can tie into pretty bows. Besides the possibility of fastening, this is also a nice element of design.
Some manufacturers also offer Velcro strips. In any case, there are ways of fastening the nest so that it fits tightly to the cot and there is no slack.

For every bed nest there are matching textiles around the baby cot. Depending on the manufacturer, the range is sometimes more or less extensive. So baby bed linen, canopy, bed sheets and other textiles are available with the same motifs, in the same colours or with the same patterns. Nothing stands in the way of a cosy design of the baby's room.
